This Lantern Festival highlights the significance of cypress trees native to Mobile, Alabama, emphasizing their ecological and cultural importance to the area. By utilizing leaves from these cypress trees, we developed a unique bio-material employed in crafting the lanterns. Presenting this work at the lantern festival serves to raise awareness among local communities and aims to inspire a broader movement across the United States.
